MONDAY
12:15 PM | Trans Day of Remembrance at Queens College
Location: Queens College Dining Hall| Time: 12:15 PM - 1:30 PM | RSVP
We will assemble on Monday, November 21st, at 12:15pm to 1:30pm at the stage in the Queens College Dining Hall to remember those who were lost to anti-transgender violence. We will also highlight the significant increase in hate violence against trans people, especially those of color. Dr. Allie Brashears, Director of the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium, will lead the program.
Students, faculty and staff will read the names of the slain.
Attendees may leave messages on our Survivors Board, which will be featured in the 2023 Pride exhibit at Queens College.
Light refreshments will be served.
4 PM | Black & Latinx Transgender Solidarity Day
Location: New York City College of Technology| Time: 4 PM - 6 PM | RSVP
Join City Tech's African American Studies and Gender & Sexuality Studies in an evening of solidarity, community, and remembrance as we honor the lives of the Black and Latinx victims of gender-related hate crimes. We will share some food together while we create T-shirts, buttons, and other memorabilia to honor the Black and Latinx transgender community members we have lost over the past year.
NOTE: you must have a CUNY ID with Cleared4 pass to enter the campus

An evening of celebration for new comic Die Horny by Recbecca Mock (she/they) - Lovebirds Iggy (human) and Wortizabella (monster) have just set off on their romantic honeymoon tour of the wasteland. Before they can get too hot and heavy, they’re drawn into a conflict between humans and monsters! But these lovebirds aren’t exactly the conventional allies either side might have hoped for…
